What Is So Wrong With "Merry Christmas?"

For more than two hundred years the words “Merry Christmas” have been a part of
our American culture. These words of Good Cheer have been seen on countless
greeting cards, storefront signs, and calendars, and have been heard on a
similar number of radio songs, school plays, and TV shows. They have been spoken
and heard by millions of people.
This special holiday greeting that recognizes the birth of Christ and the
holiday that celebrates His birth has always been viewed as an innocent
expression of goodwill to others. That is … until now. Why do these words
bother so many people?
